2018 Fort Dodge City Tournament

 

Format: 45-hole stroke play event. Top 16 and ties in the Open division and 12 and ties for the senior division will advance to the championship 9. The event may be shortened due to inclement weather. In the event of a tie for 1st Place, there will be a sudden death playoff to determine the winner.

Tees:     Open Division will play Blue Tees

                Senior Division will play White Tees

 

Rules of Play

These local rules supplement the USGA Rules, which supersedes all other local rules and any other course rules. All contestants are responsible for knowing the Rules and Conditions of the competition. Please read carefully.

  • Out of Bounds: The Aronia Berries right of 3 and right of 16 are out of bounds and clearly marked with white stakes.
  • Hazards: All hazards will be marked with red or yellow stakes and please proceed under Rule 26 – Water Hazards
  • Preferred Lies: The ball will played under the preferred lies procedures. You may roll your ball with your club or mark, lift, clean and replace the ball through the green within six inches and no nearer the hole from where the ball was last at rest.
  • Pace of Play: The maximum amount of time allotted for completion of each hole is shown on each contestant’s scorecard. You will be expected to play at the pace allotted which is 4 hours and 33 minutes. Players must be ready to hit when it is their turn and play ready golf when possible. Groups are expected to keep up with group ahead of them. If a group is out of position, they may be subject to timing.
  • Dress Code: Collared shirts preferred, T-shirts acceptable. All shirts must have sleeves.
  • Doubt as to procedure: If there is a doubt as to a procedure, announce which ball you intend to score with and play a second ball under Rule 3-3 and report to the committee. At the conclusion of the last hole players shall return their scorecards to the Scoring Area.
  • Score Table: After completion of your round, there will be a table in the Golf Shop designated strictly for scoring and rules questions. Please do all scoring and card signing at the table. When you are finished, place your card in the scorecard box.
